Expecting Daily Pregnancy Devotion Encouragement for conception to childbirth direct from the Word of God edition by Sarah Coleman Religion Spirituality eBooks

As I've neared the delivery of my first baby, at a certain point, I realized that I'd allowed the necessary logistical and physical preparations for our new little guy to distract me from spiritual preparations. Hence my search for a devotional. This book fit the bill perfectly, and I wish I discovered it earlier in my pregnancy!

For every day of pregnancy, there is a short reading (easily read in 5 or 10 minutes), along with a short passage of scripture to reflect on throughout that day. Each day's reading is relevant to what you might be experiencing physically, emotionally, and spiritually during that day of your pregnancy. For instance, in the later stages of pregnancy, the readings were geared toward assuaging fears of pain during childbirth. Please do note, however: this book can just as easily be picked up and begun at 20 weeks of pregnancy as it can be started at the very beginning. It is easy to flip through to your specific week/day of pregnancy and begin at that point vs. starting at the beginning.

This book was great for my spirit in that it was encouraging and positive. I found that many well-meaning women were eager to share their sometimes negative, frightening, and/or unintentionally discouraging stories of labor and childbirth. Instead, I really wanted to be plugged into the beauty of childbirth, gratitude for the season and coming gift, and the miracle of God breathing life into our child! This book was the perfect spiritual encouragement! It perfectly helped me to maintain contentment and gratitude throughout pregnancy, proclaim "no fear!", and trust my Savior with my baby and my body day by day!

I have already gifted this book to a newly expectant friend, and anticipate it will become a go to gift. I hope that you will consider it, too, either as a maternity gift for yourself or others.

I think in the beginning there could have been less talk about miscarriage. Not saying it doesn't happen and when I does it will be in the first trimester usually but I just was looking for something to build me more with my faith during my pregnancy, not make me paranoid. There are so many miracles that occur during the first trimester I wish those would have been brought to light and praised God for those miracles. Just made me discouraged and didn't serve the purpose I wanted-joy, gratefulness, and worship of an all awesome God for this amazing blessing
I have enjoyed reading this daily devotional for both me and my baby. They are great devotionals to go back to if needed. God's Word is powerful and truth, so it has been a blessing.
Expecting Daily Pregnancy Devotion by Sarah Coleman is a personal cheerleading book for all expecting parents.

Expecting Daily Pregnancy Devotion is like having a “life coach” for expecting parents in a book. A life coach is someone who helps people move from a position of where they are to where they want to be. And all expecting parents want to be the very best parent they can.

Actually this inspirational, uplifting book should be read by all parents, not just those who are expecting the imminent arrival of a little bundle of joy. Parenting can be one of the most stressful jobs on the planet, but this book brings with it a huge dose of calmness, serenity and blessing on every page.

As with her two other books, Single Christian Female and Make Yourself Amazing, Sarah throws herself into Expecting Daily Pregnancy Devotion with her frankness, honesty, warmth and encouragement. As you read this devotional book you will cast aside all doubt and apprehension and see yourself and your children in a whole new light.
